This Port Elizabeth Prodigy recognised her innate talent at a young age, and, determined to get her voice and face hailed as a household brand; Kinalma deemed the sky her limit.

Starting out in Studio, Kinalma’s signature sound was pioneered on Bay FM, and soon, a vocal talent was born. Captivating crowds with her velvety voice and vivaciousness, Kinalma’s horizons were broadened, and certainly not a face for radio this fresh-faced “Star in the making” took to the stage, microphone in hand, to emcee and infotain audiences at Boardwalk Casino.

Magos Media catapulted Kinalma’s career, encompassing live audiences into her ever expanding spectrum.

Leaving the windy city behind for the big, bright lights and pulsating pull of Egoli, Kinalma travelled to “the palace of dreams” – Emperors Palace– thriving on emceeing, hosting draws and giving away pots of gold.

Migrating once more, in her search for gold, Kinalma moved to Gold Reef City Casino. She began to establish herself as more than a brand, but rather a Lovemark. She has embraced the “future beyond brands” and successfully settled herself as a staple Personality in households across Southern Africa.

Kinalma is winning audiences over on Stage, on Screen and in Studio. You could experience her eclectic sound on Grand Voice Radio at Grand West Casino, Radio Morula at Morula Casino and currently The Glen Shopping Centre’s in-house radio station. And has been given the opportunity to voice the SABC 1 Sports Line ups for commercial radio as the Black English voice.

Khumi Hamese

Khumi Hamese

Khumi Hamese is a Voice Over Artist, Radio Presenter, Event MC and a Creative & Digital Marketing Specialist.

After enrolling at Tshwane University of Technology in 2008, Khumi soon realized her passion for broadcasting and joined the campus radio station TUT Topstereo. The station later changed from a campus radio station to a community radio station, and renamed itself Tshwane FM in 2010.

From community radio, Khumi made the move to retail radio station, Vodacom Radio. Working under the legendary Tom London. With her constant need to feed the broadcast monster even more, Khumi also joined online radio station Planet Radio TV. At this point she did both online radio and retail radio concurrently.

At Planet Radio TV, Khumi hosted the Breakfast show between 06:00 – 10:00 with her co-host. In 2013, Khumi moved onto Drive Time radio hosting her own show, Khumi On Drive. Planet Radio TV was Africa’s first Radio/TV station which broadcast in East and West Africa. This gave her the opportunity to present on live TV, introducing her to Television Presenting.

Fast forward to 2017, she began her commercial radio journey at Capricorn FM, the sister station to Power FM and Limpopo's only Commercial Radio Station. She began by hosting the training slot on weekends. In 2018, Capricorn FM gave Khumi her own show called The After Glow, on Sundays between 18:00 - 21:00.

In 2010, Khumi had the opportunity to work hand in hand with officials from FIFA and SABC for the Polokwane Coca Cola Happiness Fan Festival, one of the Top 3 in South Africa as the MC at the Fan Fest. She graced the football stage at the FIFA Fan Park at Polokwane Rugby Stadium when South Africa hosted the 2010 FIFA World Cup.

With her career taking great strides, becoming a Voice Over Artist was a natural progression. Khumi has been doing voice overs for 8 years for many different brands, both on television and radio.

One of the highlights of Khumi's Voice Over career thus far, was being the Voice of God at the Global Citizen Festival Mandela 100 Concert. The concert which took place at the FNB Stadium in Johannesburg on December 2nd, 2018. The concert gave Khumi the privilege of announcing on to the stage, the likes of Trevor Noah, Oprah Winfrey, Naomi Campbell, Danai Gurira and Pharrell Williams, among others. The concert was broadcast to 180 countries, across six continents and was also available via live stream.

Eastern Cape born Karabo Nombasa Yibe was introduced to the world of broadcasting through YFM as in Intern in 2010. Karabo worked her way up into the newsroom covering sports and news.

Her growing on-air experience was fully recognised when she was elevated to the breakfast show with Mo Flava as senior news anchor. Not only did she do the news but also she voiced multiple characters on all YFM generators skits and YFM dramas.

She has done voice work for various radio and TV commercials, as well as all the promo work for E Entertainment Africa & E VIP. Karabo is also a vocalist and can speak some French and dazzle with multiple accents.

Lesedi Job

Lesedi Job is an award-winning theatre director, actress and voiceover artist.

Upon graduating she was cast in the Lion and the Jewel at the Market Theatre and has worked consistently over the years as an actress in both theatre and television.

As an actress one of her distinct abilities is her voice, which led her to her career as a voiceover artist that spans well over 10 yrs.

In 2016 Lesedi embarked on her journey to becoming a theatre director when she was part of workshopping a new Musical in Toronto receiving mentorship from British director Adrian Noble.

In 2017 her directorial debut was Mike Van Graan’s When Swallows Cry at the Market Theatre which won her a Naledi Theatre award for Best Director and also won awards for Best New South African Script and Best Production. This play under her direction has gone on to be performed at the 2018 Ethiopia African Union Conference, 2018 Geneva Peace Week and 2018 Stockholm Forum on Peace and Development.

She has since directed Itsoseng, Helen of Troyeville, Dead Tinder Society, Meet me at Dawn starring Pamela Nomvete and Natasha Sutherland, Congo; the trial of King Leopold ii starring Robert Whitehead and Dr John Kani and Brutal Legacy an adaptation of Tracy Going’s memoir addressing the issue of gender-based violence. The theatre production Brutal Legacy is now part of the documentary That’s What She Said which Lesedi has also co-produced as part of YesGirlProductions. In 2022 she directed Kill Move Paradise in support of the Black Lives Matter movement and in 2023 she worked as resident director on the South African musical Calling Us Home alongside New York based director Peter Flynn.

In 2019 Lesedi mentored director’s in Nairobi for the Kampala International Theatre Festival in Uganda as part of the Nairobi Musical Theatre Initiative in collaboration with Sundance Theatre in New York.

She is a recipient of the Sophie Mgcina Emerging Voice Award, Mbokodo Women in Arts Award for Theatre and was nominated as a candidate for the prestigious Rolex Mentorship Protégé Arts Initiative.

Brenda Sakellarides studied a BA Hons at UKZN, she describes herself as a creative catalyst. Her journey in the arts sector has seen her working as an actress, singer, writer, creative consultant and arts administrator.

Highlights of her performing career include playing The Kabuki Medea, Moll Flanders, Nancy in Oliver, Julie Laverne in Showboat, The Baroness in The Sound of Music, Mary Magdalene in Jesus Christ Superstar, Eva Peron in Evita, Golde in Fiddler on the Roof, Anna in The King and I, the Baker’s Wife in Into the Woods and The Earth Mother in Menopause The Musical.

Brenda’s recent work includes two Naledi nominated performances; Ms Nevers in Tom Coash’s Cry Havoc for UJ Arts and Culture and Eleftheria in the premiere season of Renos Spanoudes hauntingly beautiful play Soil at the Auto & General Theatre on the Square.

Brenda served as Chairperson of the Arts & Culture Trust (ACT) from 2009 – 2011 and holds the honorary position of ACT Ambassador.

In 2015 she was delighted to return to musical theatre playing the rapping Sister Lazarus in Sister Act – The Musical for The Joburg Theatre.

Brenda runs The Pink Room, which offers a wide range of creative services including the generation of original music for theatre, film and television, copy & script writing and arts management services.

She serves as Chairperson of the Governing Body of the National School of the Arts and is a Director of the Johannesburg Youth Ballet.

Bongani Masondo

Bongani Masondo

Bongani Masondo is a South African actor best known for his starring role as Bafana "Prince" Shabalala in the SABC1 drama series Tshisa, from 2006-2012 and currently as 'Babymaker' in Skeem Saam on SABC1.

Tshisa was his debut television appearance. Bongani grew up in Spruitview and  knew that economic sciences wasn’t his true calling in life.

After a year at University of Johannesburg, he rebelled against his parents for the first time in his life. “I fought with them for a week,” he says. “I wanted to go and study at AFDA. They thought that they suddenly had a rebellious kid on their hands and changed their minds about the economic science.”

Bongani loves art and believes in its power to transform. At school he did drama and sang in the choir. At UJ he started to explore contemporary dance. At AFDA he studied an Honours in Live Performance, majoring in Screen Acting. He recently starred in the international award-winning student short Elaleni.

A budding musician, Bongani is one part of the rap-duo Tu Black. The duo released their 1st single on 1 March 2017 and are currently touring.
